English Musical Victorian Skeleton Clock. Ref: ws254

English Skeleton Clock incorporating a Music Box to play tunes on the hour.

Overall 1ft 3.5in high,the Rosewood base measures 9.5in by 5.5in.
The single chain fusee movement has 4 spoked wheels,and 4 pillars.

The silvered engraved dial is marked "This clock was at the Great Exhibition in Hide Park London in 1851".

The fusee driven musical box in the base was arranged to play one of two tunes on the hour.

The clock mechanism is basically sound,but the musical box needs some serious attention.

I do not have the time to restore this piece,so will sell as is or will swap for something else.
